How to Improve Wi-Fi at Home // eero Review
We are in the midst of an era completely saturated by technology and gadgets that access the internet (I mean even my picture frame can connect to the internet). But why does our internet connection still suck? I mean what's a cell phone without WiFi? A land line. What's a laptop without Wifi? A typewriter.
In all seriousness, nothing annoys me more than wasting time on bad Internet connection - whether I’m trying to write a blog post, email a PR company, or binge watch Game of Thrones, slow Internet makes me want to rip my hair out. We have four routers throughout my home. Four routers means four different networks. Four different passwords. Four ugly plastic routers and cords everywhere. Damn.
But even with four routers, my house was riddled with dead spots. I can’t tell you the hours I spent staring at buffering wheels and my modem waiting for the red blinking light to turn green! I just got use to having to bad Wifi...
Enter eero. Our WiFi doesn’t suck anymore!
Improve WiFi at Home - eero Review
eero is not a modern or wireless router. It’s a mesh networking system that basically blankets your home with a STRONG wireless signal so that all of our devices can connect to ONE network without ever dropping or losing signal.
I honestly don’t know the technicality of it but all I know is that it rocks, the design is so clean and elegant, and the set up is so simple! I downloaded the Eero App, connected my phone via Bluetooth, plug in an ethernet cable, and followed a few set up screes. Within 5 minutes my WiFi was set up. The best part is that you can monitor the network even when you aren’t home and if you have kids, you can limit their internet access time.
We live on the water and I like to take my phone down to the beach (about 500 ft away) so I can play Spotify. I was so pleasantly surprise to see I was still connected to the Wifi - with all 3 bars!
Unplug all your routers, toss it out, and get an eero immediately. You can thank me with an email, a FB message, a DM, a snap, a tweet. from any little nook and cranny of your home!
